Fitness Marble publishes careful, source-based exercise guidance for adults over 60. This page explains how an article gets from idea to publication, and how we fix mistakes.
Who is responsible
Arthur Sterling, a pen name, writes and edits the site and is accountable for what is published. He is not a doctor or physiotherapist. We say so on every About and Disclaimer page, because readers should know who is speaking.
How we choose topics
We write about questions older adults and their families ask: staying steady on your feet, easing stiff joints, building strength at home and keeping up a routine. We do not write about supplements, diets for medical conditions, or treatments.
What we base our guidance on
We draw on, in this order:
- Government and public health agencies, such as the CDC, the National Institute on Aging, WHO and NICE.
- Systematic reviews, such as those from Cochrane.
- Peer-reviewed studies and guidance from professional bodies.
Every article lists its sources at the bottom, linked to the exact page we used, so you can check them yourself. We do not rely on forums, social media posts or paid placements.
How we check an article
- We check that each claim matches the source it cites.
- We check that every exercise has safety steps and an easier version.
- We check that nothing promises a cure or a guaranteed result.
- We check that links work and point to the right page.
Use of AI tools
We use AI-assisted tools for research and first drafts. No article is published on the strength of AI output alone. A human editor checks the facts, the sources and the exercise guidance before anything goes live. Most illustrations on this site are created with AI image tools. They are for illustration only and do not show real people.
Medical review
Selected articles are also reviewed for medical accuracy and safety by Dr Zeeshan Nawaz, a doctor registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). A reviewed article says “Medically reviewed by” near the top. Dr Nawaz reviews articles; he does not write them. Articles without that line have been checked by our editor against the listed sources but have not had a clinical review. Our reviewer’s profile is on the reviewer page.
Updates
Each article shows when it was published and last updated. We update an article when public guidance changes or when we find an error. We aim to re-check every article at least once a year.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email contact@fitnessmarble.com with the link to the article. We aim to reply within two business days, correct confirmed errors, and update the date on the article.
Advertising and independence
We may show advertising, including Google AdSense. Advertisers do not influence what we write, and we do not accept payment to recommend or rate products. Our guides do not contain affiliate links.
