I saw this term on Instagram this week and thought it was the perfect title for this post because of the following:
The boys got into the Halloween decorations a bit early! Don’t worry, we put them back after some fun was had by all.
But Summer Is Still Hanging On!

Got Them All Cut
After YEARS of rocking the bang swoop, Mazen decided to go for the big cut! We are all loving it!
He’s about to pass me in height with those tips! He turns 12 years old this weekend.
Labor Day Weekend Relaxing
We didn’t do much over the weekend. Mazen went camping with a friend, and Thomas, Birch and I enjoyed sheets and air conditioning : )
B and I enjoyed coloring in the dark
This kit was a great gift. We colored in the dark in the basement for over an hour.

Cooking session
All of a sudden, the big boys are into cooking! Blue Apron makes this especially easy with its divide-and-conquer steps.
Mr. Quarter Century
Our friend Sean from the gym just released a new album on Apple Music / Spotify called Mr. Quarter Century! He was 25 when he started writing the music, hence the name (He’s 28 now!). Give it a listen. (dis)Illusion is my favorite track.
He hosted an album release happy hour (and dressed in a suit to match the album cover).

New Makeup From Ilia
Ilia sent me some of their fan favorites, and I can’t wait to try them out!
- Volumizing Mascara – I really like the brush and how it fans out at the end. My thin lashes loved it too!
- Skin Tint – This is more full coverage than I’m used to, but I think that’s a good thing! I don’t love the scent, but I do like how it looks.
- Complexion Stick – Great coverage, but a bit thick for me for everyday.
- Multistick – LOVE THIS! The color “In The Mood” is perfect as a flush blush.
