Crothall’s Innovation Summit Unveils UCI’s Cutting-Edge Healthcare Cleaning Solutions

The one-day conference featuring demonstrations by Crothall Healthcare’s leading product suppliers is already having a major impact on other hospitals in southern California.

Held in late September at UCI Health’s main campus in Orange, California, the Innovation Summit showcased products from six of Crothall’s key partner companies. Those who attended the event included representatives of Crothall from four UCI hospitals, joined by the leadership of the health system.

Conference Goal: Provide a space for physicians, infection control specialists and other hospital leaders to see firsthand how these new products and technologies can help them improve patient care, improve collaboration and reduce costs.

“UCI Health is a rapidly growing health system and we are always looking to demonstrate value to our hospital partners,” said Lisa Trombley, Division President of Crothall Healthcare. “The Innovation Summit was a great opportunity for them to meet one-on-one with each vendor to learn about new technologies and how they apply directly to the workplace here at UCI.”

Those technology vendors include:

  • Medama Floor Care Systems;
  • San-I-Pak, which provides on-site treatment for infectious waste;
  • Surfacide, maker of UV-C disinfection equipment;
  • AeroWest, a provider of odor control & odor marketing services; again
  • iCleanse, maker of mobile disinfection stations for mobile devices, including phones, iPads, laptops, and more.

Hospital officials who attended the event expressed their gratitude.

“The recent expo hosted by our partners Crothall Healthcare focused on EVS innovations that empower both patients and care teams, combining technology and empathy for a better experience for all,” said Lauren Silva, Assistant Director of Support Services, UCI Health.

Crothall is committed to bringing innovation to its partners, as well as giving them opportunities to engage with cutting-edge technology and see first-hand how it improves patient care and reduces costs.

Crothall leaders from other hospitals in southern California attended the event and gained valuable information that they intend to share with their partners.

Polly Peterson, Regional Director of Operations for Long Beach Memorial Care and Miller Women and Children’s Hospital, said the event provided two main benefits.

“First, I learn about new products and technologies that I can introduce to my colleagues to help them improve patient care and reduce costs. Second, it helps me connect with local representatives of our major retailers who can help me understand the value of their products.”

Events like the Innovation Summit at UCI Health demonstrate the team’s commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration, ensuring that they and their partners remain at the forefront of health innovation.
