What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going during the tough times?
My motivation for losing weight has always been my health first. Diabetes is prevalent in my family, and I wanted to push myself and break that generational curse. I also feel that when I started to focus on my mental health, my focus on my physical health had to get the same nourishment. I could not improve one without the other.
My love for my son inspires me to keep going. I know he watches me along with other young people in my circle of friends and family.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits changed when I started going to @skipfitness training. His personal training program encompasses a nutrition plan that helped me lose weight and gain muscle while eating the foods I love.
How often do you work out?
I do weight training 2-3 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 201 pounds. I am now 158 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’4″.
When did you start your transformation?
I started my weight loss journey in April 2023, and my transformation took about a year.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Weight loss surgery has not been a part of my journey.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
I would tell women who want to lose weight to really be prepared to do the work. Plan your strategy. My strategy was to find a trainer, follow the nutrition part of his plan, and execute it as well as the work out portion. You can find this plan at skipfitness.com (so not to hold the information).
